Frauen als Filmmusikschaffende 113 are active in this trade. This issue is discussed by way of a case stufy of the flm and media music festival SoundTrack_ Cologne. A quantitative analysis of program books and homepages of the Soundtrack_ Cologne festivals 1.0–8.0 is conducted in order to determine the number of women participating actively as invited dis-cussants, workshop directors, etc. in events that deal with flm music making as well as the amount of women as both members of award juries and award winners. In addition to this descriptive analysis, statements regarding the role of women in flm music making by various people active within Soundtrack_ Cologne are quoted in order to fnally point out possible structural barriers.
